Liberated Pixel Cup

All character sprites in Warptown are created using assets from the Liberated Pixel Cup project.

What is the LPC?

The Liberated Pixel Cup (LPC) was a game development competition held in 2012 that produced a large collection of freely-licensed pixel art assets. The project was a collaboration between the Free Software Foundation, OpenGameArt.org, and Creative Commons.

The competition resulted in hundreds of high-quality sprite sheets, tilesets, and character assets that are freely available for anyone to use in their games. All assets are released under open licenses (CC-BY, CC-BY-SA, GPL, or OGA-BY).
