On Saturday, the Ultimate Fighting Championship celebrates its 20th anniversary, and according to a Nov. 12 MMAJunkie report, UFC 167 fight card, MMA betting odds lines, TV undercard prelims and PPV start time are all available.
MMA fans at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nev., will be treated to a great night of fights at the UFC 20th Anniversary Show.
All the action gets underway Saturday night, beginning with the UFC 167 Facebook/YouTube prelims at 6:30 p.m. EST (3:30 p.m. PST), the FOX Sports 1 TV undercard at 8 p.m. EST (5 p.m. PST), and the PPV main card, which has a start time slated for 10 p.m. EST (7 p.m. PST).
The UFC 167 fight card is highlighted by the main event of the night, as longtime welterweight champion, (24-2-0) Georges “Rush” St-Pierre faces his biggest challenge to date in No.1 contender, (15-1-0) Johny “Bigg Rigg” Hendricks.
According to UFC 167 betting odds, GSP comes into this match favored to defeat the hard-hitting southpaw and retain his 170-pound belt. According to the Fight Week UFC 167 lines, St-Pierre is listed as a 4/9 [-225 ML] favorite against Hendricks, who will be a 7/4 [+175 ML] dog in his first UFC title fight.
The UFC 167 co-main event is also a dandy, as two American wrestlers put their friendship aside, as ex-No.1 middleweight contender, (29-13-1) Chael P. Sonnen takes on former 205-pound king, (23-3-1) “Suga” Rashad Evans in a light heavyweight showdown.
According to UFC 167 betting odds lines, the Michigan State Spartan product comes in favored to defeat his fellow FOX Sports analyst. Experts give Evans a 20/33 [-165] advantage over Sonnen, who’s listed as a very attractive 27/20 [+135] underdog in this one.
Also on the UFC 167 PPV main card is another bout with huge implications in the welterweight division, as GSP’s training partner, (15-1-0) Rory “Ares” McDonald tries to extend his win streak to six straight when he battles (21-9-0, 1 NC) “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler.
It comes as no surprise that the 24-year-old Canadian is listed as a huge favorite over the 31-year-old American counterpart. MMA oddsmakers give the edge to McDonald as a 2/7 [-350] favorite over Lawler at 27/10 [+270] odds in what should be a “Fight of The Night” candidate.
