Champion sprinter Trinniberg has recently retired from the racetrack and as announced to the media on Nov. 29, he is now headed into the realm of the breeding stallion. He ran his last race on Nov. 2 under the colors of Sherry Racing and trainer Bisnath Parboo in the Breeders’ Cup World Championships.
He has been home based at Calder Casino & Race Course since age two. Now he is moving to his new home – Rockridge Stud in upper New York state. Here he will stand in the breeding shed as the season gets into full swing in 2014.
It is Mohamed Jehaludi who is transporting Trinniberg to his new home over this weekend.
A sadness came over Jehaludi as he spoke to media representatives about the stallion. He mused,
We are going to miss him very much. He is the joy and gold of the barn. He brought us a lot, he gave us a very good experience, taking him to Dubai, taking us all over the country. We enjoy every day with him. He is a terrific horse to be around.
Jehaludi, who has worked with Trinniberg and Parboo throughout the stallion’s racing career, will van Trinniberg to Rockridge over the weekend. Trinniberg will soon be introduced to the breeders and the public at Rockridge. They are expected to be on the road for upwards of 26 hours and have built-in stops scheduled every four hours. Jahaludi wants Trinniberg to stay comfortable and safe.
Safe trip and many successes, Trinniberg at Rockridge Stud.
