“The Walking Dead” mid-season finale hasn’t even aired yet, but there are already spoilers for the second half of season 4. According to a Nov. 29 report by Wet Paint, there are plenty of things fans can look forward to when the show returns in February 2014.
Warning: If you do not want to know “The Walking Dead” season 4, episodes 9 and 10 spoilers, then stop reading.
Before revealing spoilers, fans are speculating that the prison war will begin on the mid-season finale but will resolve in episode 9. The writers definitely want viewers to stay in suspense until the show returns.
It has been revealed that Carl will have a big part of episode 9. Andrew Lincoln said,
“[Carl] does something this season…. Man.”
“Episode 9 is his episode. It’s so cool.”
It’s hard to predict what Carl does, but he will likely save the day. He is growing up and has learned a lot. It’s about time that he take on more responsibilities and learn to fight on his own without his dad around to protect him.
Robert Kirkman told AMC some time ago that season 4, episode 9 will include lot of things from the comic book. In fact, his exact words were,
“Episode 9 will probably be the episode that’s closest to a direct adaptation from the comic book aside from the premiere episode. It’s been a lot of fun for me working on them because I’m basically just rewriting something I’ve already written, which means I get to go back in and go, ‘Woah, what’d you do there? Let’s fix that.’”
If fan speculations are correct and the prison war will end in episode 9, then that will probably mean that Lilly will end up accidentally killing baby Judith. In the comics, Lori was trying to carry her daughter to safety when she was killed by Lilly and she ended up falling on the baby, killing her instantly. Lori is already dead, but Beth has been acting as a mother figure to Judith and takes care of her most of the time. It is possible that Beth gets shot by Lilly and she along with the baby are killed.
In the comics, Lilly felt incredible guilt over killing baby Judith, even though it was an accident. She blamed the Governor and murdered him. Could “The Walking Dead” season 4, episode 9 be the last time the Governor will be seen?
In “The Walking Dead” season 4, episode 10, fans should be prepared to meet Dr. Eugene Porter, Rosita Espinosa and Sgt. Abraham Ford. While this has not been directly confirmed, there were casting calls last summer. Scott Gimple said that a “version” of their story would be told, so some things will be just like the comics and other things will be different.
Tricia Brock directed “The Walking Dead” season 4, episode 10 and she told Columbia Daily Tribune that there will be four different storylines and very odd couplings. She said,
“There was violence, difficulty in dealing with one another, terror.”
“It’s a very intimate episode. We see how these very odd groups were thrown together and how they deal with that.”
Fans have not kept it a secret that they miss Morgan and the good news is that Scott Gimple has confirmed that he will be back in season 4.
What do you think will happen in “The Walking Dead” season 4, episodes 9 and 10?
