The SoHo Host Club is at it again; with “Once upon a time in romance” at the SoHo Art-house. Alexandra Honigsberg the beguiling host shows off Stunning artwork. The setting is a Beautiful tea service served with a “Slice of life” anime style of shows like”Black Butler,” or “Ouran High School Host Club.” The live music by Salvatore Torres and an out of this world “D.J.” Thom Truelove, made it easy to mingle. The men of the host club know how to make an event memorable. The tea was not only perfectly brewed the cookies were a true delight. You are greeted by not only epic Japanese butler cosplay, the host was in steampunk cosplay and the one beautiful geisha at the door was awesome.
Alexandra Honigsberg Had this to say.
“SoHo Host Club is dedicated to bringing beauty and chivalry into the lives of all our precious guests. We look forward to more joy together!”
As soon as you enter you feel the decor and ambiance overwhelm you. The other guest dressed in cosplay apparel from Steampunk, Anime and Manga.,Comics and Movies. The styles completed the atmosphere. Great conversations, truly sweet and welcoming guests who love to chat about anything geek culture related will warm your heart. When you first meet Raphael and Raymundo at the door, you feel welcomed in true Anime butler fashion. The Beautiful “Kassandra” with a K in her flowered Kimono and lovely smile will also bid you welcome.
Kassandra of Kassandra Cosplayer was nice enough to give us a quote.
“Well I have been Cosplaying for a year now and I really do love it. I have to pay for my addiction so I work really hard to pay for it. Just about a week before I was invited to the event I was watching Ouran Host Club (it is an anime) and it is a fun idea to think that there is a real host club. I jumped at the opportunity to go and I am really happy I went. The host were all very nice and Alexandra (host club manager).”
To any geek out there into culture and style, “The SoHo host club” events are the most fun you could have in the city. Known for its work and support of LGBT art, Anti-bullying, Art’s, cinema, Ballroom and Latin dance. With such a wide variety of endeavors, they are sure to have an event for everyone. Lori Ann an “ABA Therapist” stopped in from Lowell, Massachusetts to enjoy the great atmosphere. A young man from Korea who lived here in America for two years, stop by to make himself feel more at home.
More from Alexandra Honigsberg.
“We do work with literature, traditional Japanese and other Asian arts, professional 7th Ave. fashion…opera premieres, chamber orchestras…so many things.”
We can only hope their next event is even bigger.
