On Tuesday morning, it was speculated that T-Mobile would announce a plan that paid early termination fees for consumers who switch from another carrier to T-Mobile’s network. If this happens, you can expect T-Mobile to have an even more profitable 2014 than 2013, which was a great year for the network.
In two years, T-Mobile has gone from almost being off the map to becoming the most talked about network in the nation. They now offer smartphones such as the iPhone 5S and Galaxy Note 3 the same day as other carriers do. Their selection of smartphones is admirable. But it’s the quality of their network that gets T-Mobile the most points.
The swift roll-out of the 4G LTE network throughout much of the nation this year was a major success for T-Mobile. In Los Angeles and Las Vegas, we found the network to be fast and reliable. Unlike other networks, we rarely lost a call or a data connection due to a smartphone moving back and forth between 4G and 3G networks.
T-Mobile developed the Uncarrier Plan with the understanding that consumers don’t want to be stuck in the same network for two years. They charge the full price of phones, but allow consumers to make payments. This has paid off very well as T-Mobile is said to have increased their subscriber rate by almost 200 percent this year.
T-Mobile has capped off their great phones and excellent wireless quality with excellent customer service. Their representatives are well trained and are able to help consumers feel comfortable with their choices. Congratulations, T-Mobile. We look forward to seeing you continue to surprise us in 2014.
