Reggaeton queen Ivy Queen gave birth to her first child yesterday in Miami, Fla.
The urban genre Puerto Rican-American singer Martha Ivelisse Pesante Rodríguez known as the queen of reggaeton gave birth to her first child at the age of 41. Ivy and her husband, choreographer Xavier Sanchez, baby was born at 8:20 a.m. with a weight of 6 lbs. 20 oz., 20.4″ long. They have yet to name their baby girl. This will be Ivy’s third child as she has two adopted children.
Ivy Queen is an active singer, songwriter, record producer and actress who was born in Añasco, Puerto Rico. She has been working on her next album with her new manager Jorge “Goguito” Guadalupe. Her ninth album is set to be released next February.
In this year’s Latin Grammy Awards, Ivy was nominated for the Best Urban Music Album but lost to Mala Rodríguez.
