Kor NAVA Hydration Vessel
Hydration, Hydration, Hydration! There is nothing more important than to make sure you are getting enough water. Really! I try to aim to drink 1 ounce for each pound I weigh. Yes – that much! The water bottle that I am in love with right now is the Kor Nava ($29.95). And it isn’t just a run-of-the-mill bottle – it’s a hydration vessel superior to all! Made with 100% coconut shell – it naturally filters water to exceed the NSF 42 standards for chlorine taste and odor removal!
St. Ives Exfoliating Pads
Dry and flaky skin is something I battle big time during the winter. The way my nose peels, you would think I had a sun burn! I have been using St. Ives Exfoliating Pads ($5.50) for the last week and I think I am in love. In the week leading up to Valentine’s Day make sure to use these daily. Scrub off the dead skin and expose the new supple soft skin! The vitamin e does it’s job to hydrate leaving skin feeling utterly perfect.
Nyakio Hydrating Face Oil With Kola Nut
Following your scrub down make sure you get in and get some extra moisture on your skin – especially overnight! I am a huge fan of oils right now with my go-to being Nyakio Hydrating Face Oil With Kola Nut ($49) Just 2-3 drops on at night will do the trick to hydrate skin. Start using it at least 2 weeks before the big night. And to all the ladies who will ask me “Um it’s oil – doesn’t it make you have greasy skin and break out?” NO! The difference is that Kola Nut is a clean and natural oil which means that it soaks in deep – and doesn’t dwell on the surface of your skin. This is the most complete moisture I have ever tried. And I’m glad I did! Oh, and did you know this — Nyakio’s namesake paternal grandmother shared her beauty philosophy of the energizing and invigorating benefits of caffeine. The use of oils in skincare has been part of Nyakio’s family rituals for generations. Nyakio’s medicine man, maternal grandfather was a farmer who would gather plants, fruits and nuts from his farm and extract the oils to treat and condition the skin.
MOROCCANOIL Body Buff
It’s time for me to re-introduce you to your body again. You know, those arms and legs that you’ve covered up and ignored for the past few months. Well, it’s time to say hello again… and get to scrubbing! As strange as it seems, about a week out I stop shaving (I know, I know!) and just prepare my skin. The orange blossom scent of the MOROCCANOIL Body Buff ($42) is heavenly! It has these little gold specks of goodness in the gel that polish my skin perfectly. Did you know? Orange Peel is a natural exfoliator that gently buffs away dead skin. When combined with argan oil, vitamin E, avocado, sweet almond, safflower and sesame oil your skin will experience a renewed softness and smoothness. So – enough said, do as I say and scrub!
Body Shop Blueberry Body Butter
Once you are polished to a pulp your skin will feel amazing, but don’t stop there – especially in the winter. Right out of the shower rub on a body butter to seal in all the moisture on your skin. The king of body butters is of course The Body Shop which has every fabulous scent that you could dream up. Their newest Blueberry Body Butter ($20) smells like a hot pie right out of the oven. Amazing! This intensive, creamy all-over body moisturizer with a fruity blueberry fragrance that absorbs easily into the skin, to condition, soften and help prevent dryness. Oh and while you are in The Body Shop, you might as well pick up the Blueberry Lip Gloss and Body Gel! Just saying…
Brazilian Blowout Açai Deep Conditioning Masque
Ok first think of that killer hair style you will be rocking on Valentine’s Day! Now – think of how much damage that style will probably do to your hair. The truth is – moisturized hair is healthy hair, and healthy hair styles better. Thankfully Brazilian Blowout has you covered with their Açai Deep Conditioning Masque ($20). A creamy, rich, intense conditioning masque drenches the hair by coating each strand with exclusive, nutritive proteins to eliminate frizz, promote shine, and guarantee the longest-lasting smoothing result. I recommend using twice weekly for at least 2 weeks before the big day! No matter the style you do – your hair will wear it well!
M-61 Fast Blast
If you have super-sensitive skin I wouldn’t advocate a mask. And no matter what – don’t do anything drastic like a peel or a facial. If you can, I would recommend using a gentle mask focused on exfoliation and hydration like the M-61 Fast Blast ($50). What’s so special about it, well let me tell you… for starters, it only takes 2 minutes! This brightening at home vitamin C mask is infused with seaweed and aloe!
- Vitamin C targets dull skin to create a radiant, glowing complexion
- Vitamin B5 gently hydrates
- Seaweed firms
- Aloe vera soothes
- And vitamin e gives you a dose of antioxidants!
Get the glow – and this is how to do it!
Persian Cold Wax
Ok – we’re almost there. 48-24 hours to go. This is the time when although your skin will now be super-smooth you need to deal with that hair. Ew. And who wants to get waxed at a salon – sheesh not this girl! Thankfully Persian has you covered for all your at-home needs. Hot wax, warm wax, cold wax – seriously they’ve got it all! I am utterly obsessed with the Persian Cold Wax ($15). Safe, clean, and easy – what more could I ask for. No bumps and of course no pain – thanks!
You did it! You are a sexy babe and totally ready for your big night. Whether heading out with your main squeeze or getting together with the girls – you will look phenomenal! Celebrate your hotness with cupcakes from Sweet.
