Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, Founder and President of BOND Action and the South Central L.A. Tea Party (SCLA TP) on Thursday said that most blacks support Obamacare because of race and handouts.
In released statements sent to the media, Peterson responded as to why most of the black community and their “black leaders” refuse to speak out against President Barack Obama’s lies and about the imminent danger that Obamacare (Affordable Care Act) poses to working class Americans.
“Barack Obama lied when he told the American people: ‘If you like your healthcare plan, you can keep it.’ The truth is that millions of Americans are losing their health insurance plans because of Obamacare,” said Peterson.
“The nation is embroiled in a major debate over healthcare, yet, most blacks will not express any opposition to Obamacare because the president is black and they want handouts! Groups like the National Urban League, NAACP, the Congressional Black Caucus, and black clergy are promoting this awful law and working with the administration to enroll inner-city blacks and Hispanics. The administration is hiring Obamacare ‘navigators’ from within these groups.”
Peterson revealed that experts estimate that 129 million Americans, nearly half of the population, could lose their current health plan if Obamacare is fully implemented.
In recent months, employers have been cutting back full-time employees to part-time status of less than 29 hours per week or laying them off in order to comply.
According to the U.S. Labor Department, in October, the black unemployment rate rose from 12.9 to 13.1 percent while the national unemployment rate creeped up from 7.2 to 7.3 percent. None of these figures present the actual numbers due to the underemployed and those that have stopped looking which would raise the unemployment rate much higher.
Due to the news that millions are losing their healthcare plans and doctors, as well as numerous broken promises since 2009, President Obama has decided to roll back the private insurance cancellations that millions of consumers have endured.
Obama on Thursday announced changes to his healthcare law that would give insurance companies the option to keep offering consumers plans that would otherwise be cancelled.
However, Obama is not authorized to make those decisions, only Congress has the authority.
Joe Newby, a Spokane Conservative Examiner reported on Thursday that Eugene Kontorovich, a professor at Northwestern University School of Law said in regards to President Obama’s “fix” by saying, “The ‘fix’ amounts to new legislation — but enacted without Congress. The president has no constitutional authority to rewrite statutes, especially in ways that impose new obligations on people, and that is what the fix seems to entail.”
How do House Republicans feel about Obama’s “fix”?
Republicans were critically unimpressed with the president’s changes and House Speaker John Boehner, speaking in advance of the president’s announcement, insisted it was time to “scrap this law once and for all.”
“You can’t fix this government-run health care plan called Obamacare… it’s just not fix-able.”
With the complete failure of Obamacare and Obama deceiving millions of Americans over his healthcare plan, will the black community finally understand?
Rev. Peterson does not think so and as long as so-called “civil rights” leaders like Rev. Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and the NAACP and other black organizations are out there protecting the president and his Affordable Care Act, it may not change a thing for the black community.
“The black community, more than any other group, will be severely hurt as a result of Obamacare,” Peterson said.
“It’s shameful that blacks are once again allowing themselves to be used and herded like cattle into another government program which will never deliver what this president promised.”
