Pop culture website BuzzFeed gave all the romantics something to be thankful for on November 28 with a video post titled Everything You Know About Kissing Is Wrong.
The video doesn’t exactly serve as any sort of aphrodisiac in the beginning when it begins with the fact that along with swapping spit, smooches also cause an exchange of viruses, hormones and up to one billion types of bacteria. However, as the video progresses, viewers may feel the urge to lean into their sweetie when they learn that kissing also leads to:
- A longer lifespan
- Prevention of tooth decay
- An increase in female libido
On top of all that, kissing can actually serve as an anti-drug.
According to the video, “the dopamine released [during kissing] stimulates the same part of our brains as cocaine.”
We wonder how much healthier Seth Rogen and James Franco felt after filming their now-epic Kimye parody, Bound 3.
Being that it’s cold and flu season, now seems like the perfect time to pucker up.
