Just in case you have not heard of nor visited 78th Street Studios near the amazing Gordon Square Arts District, now is your chance to do just that. On December 4, 2013 from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. Earth Day Coalition will be holding their annual fundraising event “Instrumental Evening for the Earth”. This year’s honorary chair will be Councilman Matt Zone (Ward 15, City of Cleveland) and the Host will be Bill O’Connell (Program Director for WCLV 104.9 Ideastream).
Food and drink will be supplied by AMP 150, Flaming ICE Cube, Great Lakes Brewing Company, Gypsy Beans and Baking Company, The Harp, Luxe Kitchen and Lounge, Rising Star, Spice Kitchen and Bar and East Drink Toast.

Donations will be increased thanks to the generous pledges from our sponsors. Funds raised will grow our year-round Community Works programs
► World-Class Chamber Music
Daniel McKelway and Lembi Veskimets of the world-famous Cleveland Orchestra will be joined by additional Orchestra members for an intimate candle-lit concert. Sae Shiragami (violin) and Lembi Veskimets (viola) will perform Duo for Violin and Viola,
KV 423 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791). Jeffrey Rathbun (oboe), Daniel McKelway (clarinet) and Barrick Stees (basson) will perform Divertimento for Winds by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
► Art Galleries and Dessert
Explore the maze of galleries within the SmARTspace of 78th Street while enjoying delicious desserts and Gypsy Jazz from Wok the Cat

The following volunteer jobs, dates and times are listed below:
Tuesday, December 3:
– General office and last minute help from 9am-6pm
– Loading the truck with all benefit items, decorations, etc from 12pm-3pm
Wednesday, December 4:
– Unload truck and set-up from 9am-5pm
– Event specific duties 5pm-10pm (these job descriptions are still being finalized)
Thursday, December 5:
– Unload truck at EDC office and storage facility from 11am-2pm

Earth Day Coalition is pleased to announce EarthFest 2014: “Celebrating the Year of Zero Waste.” EarthFest will be held on Sunday, April 13 at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds. There will be family fun eco-activities, petting zoos, pony rides, local microbrews & vintners, chef demos and much more. Attendees will enjoy over 250 exhibits in 9 sustainability practice areas, including: Zero Waste, Local and Sustainable Food, Green Home and Garden, Community Works, Environmental Science, Advanced & Renewable Energy, Clean Transportation, Family Fun Activities and Health & Fitness.
EarthFest 2014 will mark the 25th year of presenting EarthFest and the founding of our organization. You can be a part of our silver anniversary year by sponsoring, exhibiting or volunteering. Exhibitor applications will be available soon.
