“Good Lord: a 19 year old black woman in a (mostly white) Detroit suburb got into a car accident at 2:30 in the morning, went onto the porch of a nearby house to ask for help, and was shot and killed, allegedly by the homeowner, who thought he was being attacked.” – http://www.theamericanconservative.com/dreher/bad-samaritan-dearborn-heights/
The previous headlines are summed up in the following quote:
“Dearborn Heights police initially told McBride’s family that her body was found dumped near Warren Avenue and Outer Drive, but that story quickly changed. Not only are police refusing to release the identity of the man who shot McBride, they’re now saying she was mistaken for an intruder and shot in self-defense on the homeowner’s front porch. Even if that’s the case, and there’s reason to believe it’s not, the shooter still failed to call 911 after shooting an unarmed woman in the head…” – read more at http://raniakhalek.com/2013/11/06/black-detroit-woman-shot-to-death-while-seeking-help-in-white-neighborhood-after-car-crash/

HAS THERE BEEN A COVER-UP CAMPAIGN?
Has the Dearborn Police been forthcoming about Renisha McBride murder? If so, how come the local news media can’t get the story straight? Was her body dumped? Or did the homeowner call 911 and went into the police station to make a statement on the night of the murder? None of the news reports thus far question, or explain, why the early headlines reported “body dumped” if the unnamed, un-charged, homeowner called 911? If we are to believe the early news reports, what the homeowner did was in fact shoot Renisha McBride and then transport her body to another location, where she was dumped like garbage. That in itself should be a crime so why not charge him with that for starters?
A final thought, with the self-defense claim, if Renisha McBride’s murder is found justified by the Stand Your Ground Law it would set a precedent that it is within your rights, in Michigan, to shoot someone who is standing on your porch because you feel threatened. It would also be within your rights to then transport the person you murdered, may be accidentally, and dumped them at another location. This Stand Your Ground defense in this scenario could possibly overturn a few murder convictions where bodies were dumped in the city of Detroit.
