With so many establishments pulling out all the stops for New Year’s Eve (see my separate article here), this weekend and week ahead will be pretty sparse indeed. So I will have time to compile an article later detailing some of the big craft beer events for 2014.
One other slightly off-topic note: I’ve been asked to spread the word that auditions are still being accepted for “Frankenfood,” a reality/food show to be produced for the Spike cable channel. The show will follow celebrity chef Josh Capon as he travels the US searching for the most creative and innovative dishes. Each episode one contestant will win $10,000 and have their unique winning dish featured on a restaurant menu. For information on how to submit a video audition, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 212-784-7770 ext 437. Two episodes will be shot in Chicago in January.
Yep, I had no craft beer events for this weekend. Let’s just prepare to hunker down in the cold and hope the Bears can pull off a surprise on Sunday.
