In Houston, Texas, Camille Grammer was granted an emergency protective order against her ex-boyfriend. This makes the second court order that prevents Dimitri Charalambopoulos from being anywhere near the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star.
The first protective order Camille Grammer received was back in October in Los Angeles. The protective order prevented Charalambopoulos from having any contact with Grammer or from going within 100 yards of her or her children with ex-husband Kelsey Grammer.
Dimitri Charalambopoulos has been charged with assault of a family member and impeding breath which is a felony in Texas. In November, Charalambopoulos appeared before a judge and posted a non-arrest bond of $5,000.
Charalambopoulos was charges after an alleged incident of abuse that occurred on October 16 in a Houston hotel room. According to the court documents, Camille Grammer claims that Dimitri slammed her head into furniture, grabbed her by the hair and repeatedly “pulled her head into the bed and headboard.”
Complicating the situation further is the fact that on Oct. 11, just days before the alleged attack, Camille Grammer had a radical hysterectomy in order to treat early stage endometrial cancer. Dimitri Charalambopoulos has vehemently denied the abuse allegations.
In the court documents for the protective order, Camille alleges that Dimitri “succeeded in pulling out swaths of my hair and gave me a large, painful contusion on the side of my head,” then “squeezed my nose between his fingers and pushed upward forcefully, meanwhile covering my mouth in an attempt to silence me and to prevent me from breathing.”
“I experienced great pain in my nose and became afraid for my life as a consequence.” Camille Grammer went on to write that “he wrestled me on the hotel bed, eventually succeeding in completely immobilizing me.”
The protective order issued in Texas prevents Charalambopoulos from having any contact with Grammer for 61 days. Should he fail to abide by the protective order he could face additional charges. Grammer is pursuing a civil temporary restraining order against him in California.
A new hearing date has been scheduled for January 6, 2014.
