Rev. Susan Manker-Seale, minister of the Beacon Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Flagstaff, announces the release of her new novel, Mysteries of the esse; Shala’s hope. Susan is the daughter of Minister Emeritus, Rev. Raymond Manker. Susan grew up in the congregation and gained the self-confidence for every aspect of her life from inspiration within the principles of the faith.
Susan has always been an avid science fiction and fantasy reader and gained her inspiration for her novel series from notable writers like Andre Norton and J.R.R. Tolkien. While undertaking her novel series, which has taken almost eight years, Susan came to the conclusion that the genre did not really match the content of her novel. Susan proposed and coined the soon to be popular genre Mysti-Fi: Mystical Fiction.
Mysti-Fi is proposed to be used for novels which are neither science fiction nor fantasy, but which explore spiritual and mystical themes, in past, present or future settings. Susan’s new novel is a combination of a well research anthology of spiritual practices, ancient theologies set in early Earth’s Common Era beginning in 7033 C.E. Her novel combines pure truths with an epic adventure through and within space and time. Her novel blends the struggle of sorcerers, conspiracy, evil and conquest within mystical lore and ancient cuneiforms. The blending of an exciting and mystifying novel will entertain and enlighten the reader. This author highly recommends this book.

Of those who have been lucky enough to read and re-read Susan’s drafts, each have asked her, “So when is the movie coming out?”
After going to writer’s conferences for years she acknowledges the love and support she has been given by her family, her friends and the support of the many members of the Southwest District Unitarian Universalists, who have provided her emotional support.
